The "MRP Planner Workbench" enhances the INMASS/MRP Material Requirements Planning (MRP) module by allowing the planner to easily review MRP's Computer Planned Orders (CPOs) and then issue actual work orders and purchase orders from the same screen.

In the standard MRP program, a number of very powerful reports are produced which are used by the materials planner to determine production planning. The planner takes the data from the reports, decides what orders they want to issue, and then passes that information along to purchasing and work order clerks who enter the orders.

The "MRP Planner Workbench" helps to shorten this process by providing one comprehensive and easy-to-use screen where suggested order releases from CPOs can be reviewed, modified, and issued as "live" work orders and purchase orders in the Work in Process and Purchasing modules. And, since the planner can do the reviewing and issuing of the orders suggested by CPO's from one screen, there is less possibility of data entry errors.
