The "Audit" utility records all changes (and additions and deletions) made through the Inventory File Maintenance, BOM File Maintenance, and Customer File Maintenance functions, so that you know the "who, what, when and where" of each change. This capability is designed to address our customer's need for increased security and data integrity by providing a comprehensive audit trail of all changes to the company's data. This Audit Trail is as accurate and detailed as possible.

The "Audit" file will track all of the following for each change made by each user:

1. Item, Component, or Customer ID
   
   
2. Console Number used when the change was made (who did it?)
   
   
3. INMASS/MRP System Date
   
   
4. Actual Date and Time (from the computer system clock)
   
   
5. Action (Add, Delete, Update)
   
   
6. Field Changed
   
   
7. Prior Field Value
   
   
8. New Field Value
   

This information can be exported to Excel or Access (or many other programs of your choosing) where you easily can sort and print in many different ways to display all entries of interest.
